“When my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999, my family was shocked, overwhelmed and scared. We were dropped into a foreign land with a language we could not speak and felt helpless. We understood my Mom had cancer, and her medical care team was wonderful, but we never really knew what “cancer” meant, what the enemy looked like. And how can you fight the enemy if you don’t understand what it truly is?” – Dr. Sarah Jelliffe
